The Dings Court building mould not only be self-supporting, but
should generate revenues to fund other recreational activities
for the city and its residents.{
The attached projection of income does not include the additional
revenues that could be realized under the operation and marketing
skills of the city of Roseville. The expertise of the recreation
department will result in a much broader base of usage and
revenues. Senior programs, youth programs and leagues, school
programs, and other such uses can be expanded far beyond what has
been done in the past.
By the admission of the owner, the Dings Court has not been pro-
perly promoted nor marketerd for the past few years. It has been
reasonably successful despite that fact.
Again, I strongly urge the City to purchase this business before
it is bought by the members for their exclusive use, or by a
private investor for conversion to another use, depriving the
citizens of Roseville of a much-needed recreational facility.
We will be happy to meet with you, your staff, or any commission
or' committee you designate to, investigate this proposal, and to
supply any information needed to make a proper evaluation and a
sound decision.
Thank you again for your interest and consideration*
Yours truly,
C. William Franke
