We feel that this sort of home business is entirely out of keeping with the character of our neighborfrocd i ■ This is a quiet, stable, entirely residential area, which was the main consideration when we bought our home 23 years ago. We have lured living here and have had a minimum of traffic problems, vandalism, and crime, even though commercial areas seem to get ever closer and more densely concentrated. We,do not want the changes that will surely result from customers coming and going to a home business, bringing strangers into our area, so we wi11 no longer know who belongs here. We are also most concerned about setting a precedent. if this permit is granted, what is there to prevent three or more on every block" There is nothing personal in these objections. We feel that since Patricia 'Curtiss has already said she will have in -home baby care, theme is no reason that she could not work in ono of the numerous beauty shops in the area, and perhaps later on rent commercia-1 space nearby for her own shop, if that is her career goal. We are also concerned about-the future of Roseville. How can we retain stable homeowners and businesses without a guarantee of residential neighborhood integrity. It never occurred to us, for eampla, that we would ever have to face a problem like this in our neighborhood. - We will be out of town at the time of the Council Meetingr but we hope you will take our considerations into account and urge VERY STRONGLY that this Special Use Permit be denied.
