Agenda Section. <br />Reports and Recommendation: <br />Jfl Item Description: Acceptance of Low Bid for Construction <br />of Second Lake Bennett Trail <br />M!QKGRo <br />In 1991, the City of Roseville received grants from the Central Park <br />Foundation for $53,000 and the state of ' Minnesotaâ–º for $35,000 for the <br />construction of a second trail for wheeled activity around Lake Berg <br />nett in Central Park. The Central Park Foundation has subsequently <br />committed on additional $10,000 to the project. Extensive planning <br />and design has taken place in order to provide 'the - safest trail with <br />the least affect on trees and shrubs. The. City will <br />provide inkind services for supervision and clean up. <br />STAFF NECOMN1ENUA OATS <br />Eased upon the approved monies from the Central Park Foundation and <br />the State of Minnesota, and the prior recommendation of the Parks and <br />Recreation and prior _approval of the -City Council, staff recommends <br />the award of the contract to the low bidder, F. M. Frattalone. <br />COUN.CIL ACTION EEOU STED . <br />Notion authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with the <br />low bidder.' F . M. Fratta l one, for the construction of the second trail <br />around Lake Bennett in Central Park, with the costs to he paid by the <br />$63,000 grant from the Central Park Foundation and the $35,000 grant <br />for the State of Minnesota. <br />
