Construct a Roseville Community Center which could <br />provide areas for seniors, gymnastics, court gamest <br />fitness, water play, meeting space, cultural arts, and <br />social gatherings. <br />Continue efforts with school Districts to provide joint <br />use of spaces such as gymnasiums, auditoriums, and <br />libraries, thus maximizing their use while providing a <br />wide variety of opportunities and reducing construction <br />and operation costs* <br />Explore methods of more effective utilization of <br />existing ice arenas in the area, or development of an <br />additional enclosed ice sheet to solve the large unmet <br />demand for convenient and easily accessible ice <br />facilities. <br />- Develop a Roseville Heritage Centdr,. possibly through <br />collaboration with Ramsey County or other government <br />agencies <br />Volunteerism <br />To provide many <br />and enhancement <br />next century by <br />volunteers. <br />- Establish a <br />projects whet <br />of the personnel needs for the improvement <br />of leisure programs for the present and the <br />citizens of the community who will serve as <br />commission to advise the City Council on <br />re expertise of the citizens can be used. <br />- Establish a volunteer coordinator function to serve as a <br />clearinghouse for matching volunteer skills with needs; <br />- Create incentives and provide recognition for <br />volunteering. <br />Provide appropriate support services to Roseville <br />volunteers and programs. <br />Encourage youth service through such programs as a <br />Summer Teen Park Work Program, resulting in needed <br />services for the community and employment opportunities <br />for youth. <br />Pathways <br />To develop and implement a comprehensive trail system plan <br />allowing residents to enjoy recreational, civic, cultural, <br />and leisure activities throughout Roseville, This plan <br />would provide for nonmotorized pathways of all types which <br />do more than merely connect areas* In this sense, they can <br />be regarded as an extension of the park system* <br />3 <br />
