Develop and maintain a comprehensive pathway system that <br />will allow residents and visitors to be able to move <br />between and among all Roseville parks, including those <br />owned by Ramsey County, entirely on nonmotorized <br />pedestrian and bike pathways. <br />- Construct and maintain trails that will enable residents <br />and visitors to move between the trail system connecting <br />the City and County parks. <br />- Develop a sidewalk system connecting the park trails <br />with -major civic buildings, recreational and cultural <br />facilities and shopping areas, <br />- Develop a pathway system enabling residents to leave <br />their hens and reach a leg of the trail system within <br />several blocks. <br />Illuminate nonmotori zed paths to promote increased <br />safety and maximize their utilization. <br />- Coordinate access to the Willard Munger State Frail <br />(Gateway Trail) connecting the Roseville trail system to <br />the Gateway Trail. <br />- Develop a long -range plan to plant /forest and otherwise <br />beautify all trails in conjunction with the comprehen- <br />s ive trail system. <br />Bury power lines and utility cables as a part of each <br />major renovation project to allow for easy trail system <br />development in the future* <br />construct additional floating boardwalks to improve <br />access through and enjoyment of nature areas. <br />- Enter into cooperative agreements permitting land use <br />for paths along industrial, County, and state right-of- <br />ways. <br />- Create a Citizen Tra i l /Pathway committee to develop <br />recommendations for the development and implementation <br />of the above strategies. <br />Programs <br />To provide leisure programs in the year 2000 and beyond <br />that allow for sociability, development of fitness, <br />cultural expression, and environmental appreciationO <br />Provide for coordination <br />churches, and the private <br />programs and services, <br />4 <br />by all units of government, <br />sector in the provision of <br />
