Develop and maintain a comprehensive pathway system that will allow residents and visitors to be able to move between and among all Roseville parks, including those owned by Ramsey County, entirely on nonmotorized pedestrian and bike pathways. - Construct and maintain trails that will enable residents and visitors to move between the trail system connecting the City and County parks. - Develop a sidewalk system connecting the park trails with -major civic buildings, recreational and cultural facilities and shopping areas, - Develop a pathway system enabling residents to leave their hens and reach a leg of the trail system within several blocks. Illuminate nonmotori zed paths to promote increased safety and maximize their utilization. - Coordinate access to the Willard Munger State Frail (Gateway Trail) connecting the Roseville trail system to the Gateway Trail. - Develop a long -range plan to plant /forest and otherwise beautify all trails in conjunction with the comprehen- s ive trail system. Bury power lines and utility cables as a part of each major renovation project to allow for easy trail system development in the future* construct additional floating boardwalks to improve access through and enjoyment of nature areas. - Enter into cooperative agreements permitting land use for paths along industrial, County, and state right-of- ways. - Create a Citizen Tra i l /Pathway committee to develop recommendations for the development and implementation of the above strategies.
