1), EMPLOYMENT AGREEMEN -1 <br />A r�E1 L T rriade this �i day of April, 2001, 1 and between the CITY OF RO EVLLLE a <br />Y a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("Employer"), and Neal J. Beets ( "Employee "). <br />The parties agree as follows: <br />1. POSITION. Employer agrees to employ Employee as its City Manager. Employee agrees to serve as <br />City Manager in accordance wide state statutes, City Charter (if applicable) and City ordinances, and to perform such <br />other Iegally permissible and proper duties and hinctions as the City Council shall from time to time assign. <br />2. rVIO INN AND RELOCATION ALLOWANCE. Employer shall reirribUrse Employee an amount <br />net to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for moving employee's household goods and for house hunthig <br />expenses such as travel expenses, tenlporaq lodging, and meals. Payment shall be made upon receipt by the City of <br />documentation that the expenses have been incurred. Employee agrees to reimburse the Employer any and all moving <br />and relocation expenses should Employee voluntarily terminate employment, according to the following schedule; <br />Time Frame <br />0 day to 12 months <br />12 montlts to 18 months <br />IS months to 24 months <br />24 months to 36 months <br />After 36 months <br />Reimbursement Schedule <br />100% <br />75% <br />50% <br />25% <br />0% <br />3. PENSION PLAN. Employer shall contribute to PERA as required by State law for Employee or an <br />alternate pension plan, if selected by Employee, as authorized by State lair. <br />4. SALARY. Employer shall pay Employee a salary of nine thousand one hundred sixty -six and 66/10 <br />dollars ($9,166.66) monthly (one hundred ten thousand dollars ($110}000) annualized) starting July 1, 2001, payable in <br />accordance with normal City payroll policy and practices. Employee shall be given an initial perfonnance review by the <br />City Council or subcommittee thereof after six (6) months and annually thereafter. <br />5. SENIORITY. For purposes of employment benefits such as sick leave, vacation leave, and the like, <br />Employee will be credited with having completed five (5) years of employment with the City upon Employee's first day <br />of employment. <br />�+g , j lmm. l3 <br />
