Mr. Stuart further opined that there should only be <br />allowed one vote per person, and that the Council should <br />ensure his constitutional rights by providing an ordinance <br />amendment that would allow for a Special Election as <br />soon as possible. Mr. Stuart concluded his opinions that <br />he was not in favor of a Primary Election, and did not <br />support the appointment process. <br />Mr. Kelly concurred with the comments of Ms. Yates in <br />the need for the community to heal from past issues; <br />encouraged an expedient Primary and Special Election to <br />ensure that healing and that the process be as cost-efficient <br />and fair as feasibly possible; and concluded his support for <br />a "caretaker" appointment until the Special Election. <br />Muamer Pezerovic, 180 Larpenteur Avenue W <br />47 -year Rose Township resident - former band <br />member <br />Mr. Pezerovic asked that Councilmembers look at the <br />early history of the Village of Roseville and its <br />representative government, and realize the improvements <br />that have been achieved; opining that a Special Election <br />would have no perception of impropriety, and that Amy <br />Ihlan was an obvious appointee, given the election results. <br />Richard VerHagen, 176 Owasso Boulevard S <br />Mr. VerHagen opined that he had never seen the word <br />"appointment" attached to the word "democracy;" and that <br />encouraged future public policy that your current office be <br />relinquished if you were running for another office. Mr. <br />VerHagen made several allegations directed specifically at <br />Councilmember Klausing related to voting records and <br />financial support of the Northwest Youth and Family <br />Services organization; concluding with a comment to <br />citizens of Roseville to keep their freedom. <br />
