It will be <br />especially important when voters realize hour much you are spending to prevent an appointee, b <br />pp y <br />the council, to demonstrate his or her capabilities as a council member. <br />To sununarize, no special election should occur prior to the general fall election already <br />set <br />scheduled. There should be minimal cost at the time, as the polls will already be open. I <br />personally would trust the council to fill the current vacancy for the remainder of vacant seat but <br />feel more residents should state their vies. If residents do prefer a special election, then <br />consideration should be made to extend the term. It is not fair to a candidate to make them run <br />so many years in a row.
