The jicenses to be renewed <br />include twenty -three (23) On Sale (maximum 30 allowed by state statute), eight (8) Off Sale <br />(maximum of 10 allowed by City ordinance), four (4) Club, nine (9) Wine, thirteen (13) On Sale 3.2 <br />Non - Intoxicating Malt Liquor, and nine (9) Off Sale 3.2 Non - Intoxicating Malt Liquor (City <br />ordinance or state statute do not limit the number of the last four types of licenses). A public hearing <br />needs to be established for the December 8th, 2403 council meeting for the consideration of the <br />renewal of these licenses. <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license <br />administration. <br />Council Action <br />Motion establishing a public hearing on Monday, December 8th, 2003 for the renewal of the <br />following liquor licenses for calendar year 2004. <br />
