A. <br />Department Approval: Manager reviewed Agenda Section <br />-t2 Hearings <br />Description: G&C Liquor appiieatiun for an 0 '- ale Intoxicating liquor license at 1740 <br />Lexington Avenue <br />Background <br />G&C Liquor has applied for an Off-Sale Intoxicating liquor licenses at 1 740 Lexington Avenue. <br />criminal background cheek has been performed on the applicant and no reason for denial of the <br />licenses has been found. The City Attorney will review the application prier to the issuance of the <br />licenses to ensure they are in order. A representative from G&C Liquor will attend the hearing to <br />answer any questions the Council may hare. <br />The City currently has 8 Off -Sale Intoxicating liquor licenses issue. The maximum number of <br />Off -Sale Intoxicating liquor licenses allowed is 10. <br />Implications Financial <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance cheeks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor lags, and license <br />administration. <br />Recommendations <br />It is recommended that the license be approved for the period October 1, 2003 tbru December 31, <br />2004. <br />� � � <br />Motion approving/denying the Off-Sale Intoxicating liquor license for G&C Liquor at 1 740 <br />Lexington Avenue for the year ending December 31, 2004. <br />
