Contractor shall adequately clean up any materials spired or blown <br />during the course of collection and/or hauling operations. Any <br />unacceptable ma terials left behind shall be secured within resident's <br />recycling container, if provided. Drivers shall take all precautions <br />possible to prevent littering of unacceptable recyclabies. All <br />collection vehicles shall be equipped with at least one broom and <br />one shovel for use in cleaning up material spillage. Contractor shall <br />have no responsibility to remove or clean up any items that are not <br />recyclable materials. <br />5. Missed Collection Policv and Procedure: Contractor shall pack up <br />missed collections. Contractor agrees to pick up all missed <br />collections on the same day Contractor receives notice of a missed <br />collection, provided notice is received by Contractor before 11:00 <br />a.m. on a business day. <br />With respect to all notices of a missed collection received after <br />11:00 a.m. on a business day, Contractor agrees to pick up that <br />missed collection before 46:00 p.m. on the business day <br />immediately following. <br />Contractor shall provide staffing of a telephone equipped office to <br />receive missed collection complaints between the hours of 7:30 <br />a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, except holidays and on Saturdays <br />during weeks in which a holiday has delayed pickup in the Friday <br />zone until Saturday. The Contractor shall have an answering <br />machine or voicemail system activated to receive calls after fours. <br />Contractor shatl keep a log of all calls including the subject matter, <br />the date and time received, the Contractor's response, and the date <br />and time of response. This information shadl be provided to the City <br />in a monthly report. <br />6. Collection Vehicle Equipment Re uirements: Each collection <br />vehicle shall be duly licensed and Inspected by the State of <br />Minnesota, and shall be equipped with the following: <br />A. A two-way communication device- <br />13 � A first old kit. <br />C. An approved 2AJ QBC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher. <br />D. Waring flashers. <br />5 <br />
