B. <br />Department App rova : Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />wr <br />Consent <br />Item Description: Approve Change Order # 1, Bid Package # 1, City Center Redevelopment <br />Background: The proposed change order is for additional site and utility work on the City Center <br />Redevelopment project. The changes increase the amount of the contract of Imperial Developers by <br />$2,998 and are as follows: <br />1. Install an additional 360 LF of silt fence. (add $900) <br />2. Install 6" watermain stub for fire protection equipment for Fw facility per 06/1 7/03 memo. <br />(add $1,730) <br />3. Furnish and install insulation for waterrnain connection in woodhill Drive. (add $260) <br />4. Install two (2) additional valley gutters per quote of 06/23/03. (add $1,836) <br />5. 50 feet of additional sanitary sewer and relocate manhole due to the actual elevation of the <br />existing pipe being 2 feet higher than expected. (add $2,716) <br />6. Charge to Imperial Developers for Muska Electric to repair the broken conduit and to run new <br />phone wire from the public works building to the I Ic ough trailer. This charge also includes <br />the cost of the splice lit phone cable. This damage was caused by Imperial Developers. <br />(deduct $1,294) <br />7, Charge to Imperial Developers for Master Technology Group emergency repair of the <br />damaged conduit, copper cable and fiber optic cable. This damage was caused by Imperial <br />Developers. (deduct $3,150) <br />Financial Implications: The net cost for Change Order # 1 is $2,998. Contingency funds have been <br />reserved within the project budget for unforeseen conditions and additional work necessary to complete the <br />prof eet. <br />RECOMMENDED OUN IL ACTION: <br />Motion approving Change Order # 1, Bid Package #1, Imperial Developers Inc. in the amount of 998 <br />for the City Center Redevelopment sitework and authorizing the City Manager to sign change orders <br />for the project under $5000. <br />Prepared by: Donna Koontz <br />
