Regular City Council Minutes — 9/15/0 <br />DRAJFT Minutes - Page 12 <br />destruction that would occur during a future construction <br />project. <br />Mr. Cox expressed his preference that the property be sold <br />as one parcel, with a new owner intending to live on the <br />property determining the future use. <br />The applicant, Gary Weldon, was not present at the <br />meeting; and Mayor Kysylyczyn closed the Public <br />Hearing at 8:11 p.m. <br />Mr. Paschke and City Attorney Squires responded to <br />Council questions related to utility locations and <br />easements and potential costs associated with hook -up <br />and/or relocation; specific home designs related to the <br />Building Permit process; City standards and consistencies <br />with code; and Council discretion for denial through <br />findings only if a health, safety or welfare concern were <br />evident. <br />Further discussion ensued regarding potential impacts to <br />the neighborhood and limitations of Council to deny the <br />request; and rationale as the Council allows due process <br />and considers the request from a density perspective with <br />the information before them. <br />Further discussion ensued, with Councilmembers <br />concurring that, while they sympathized with the <br />neighbors, the law was straightforward as to rationale <br />allowed for denial. <br />
