Background Facts: <br />Employees are eligible for pro-rated health benefits based on their level of full -time status beginning if they, <br />a minimum of 20 hours per week; there are 162 total benefit eligible employees. <br />The City of Roseville has a contract with Preferred one for employee health insurance with a renewal ra <br />increase cap of 12 %. Health insurance cost increases for 2004 for our group are currently trending higher thir <br />12 %. <br />Currently the City offers the two (2) tier options, single or family, for the employees and extendees of the plan <br />choose from. This is the sarne tier system that is followed by 12 of the 24 comparable Stanton -Five cities. <br />E tcndees /yeti reel pay 100% of the premium for health insurance. <br />Annually, staff and the Stanton Group monitor die metropolitan region to compare Roseville health insurM14 <br />premiums and benefits options to other communities. The oo Stanton -Five group survey shows that of the X <br />Cities in the group that participated in the survey, 12 have a single plus one tier option and 8 of those 12 offer <br />tiers, which is the maximum offered in the survey.
