If additional tiers were to he added it is anticipated that the makeup <br />the group and the premium costs associated would change as illustrated in the quotes from Preferred One, below. <br />Financial Implications: <br />IAlie total cost to the City for health insurance premiums is budgeted not exceed $933,597 for 2003. The City <br />ant clpating the renewal cap increase of 12% for the 2004 calendar year thus bringing the budget to $1,053,732. 1 a <br />assuming that no natter hoar many tiers are added the total premium for our group will remain the same (as shown in tl <br />o note from Preferred One), it will however, fundamentally change the premium costs for each tier. Each additional ti. <br />increase the premium for the next tier.
