Section 4. Housing Action Sfieps /Implementation Strategies The fallowing action steps are implementation strategies to help achieve the goals identified above. The action steps are annually refined as part of the Comprehensive Planning process and Housing Plan review. Not all action steps will be implemented in the current year, rather they will be implemented based upon prioritization in alignment with annual budget resources. Many of the action steps are noted as a high priority for the HRA. 4.1 Create an education environment that promotes quality housing renovation and housing assistance through the Home & Garden Shag, HousingPesource Center technical assistance and target marketing. Fund an annual Home d Garden Fair featuring dousing contractors, remodeling vendors, landscape companies and finance agencies. The Fair includes seminars, children's activities and door prizes and is held the first Saturday in February or last Saturday in January. Identified as a high priority of the HRA. p Assist the HausingResource Center North Metro which provides technical construction management and financial advice through an annual fee paid by the HRA. The services of HausingResource Center are provided free to residents. Services include assistance on Building evaluations, city cedes and permit process, scope of work, construction cast information, construction bid process, evaluation of submitted bids, monitor construction process and purchase counseling. Identified as a high priority of the HRA. m Produce a remodelers handbook that provides a summary of projects highlighted over the years through the Rambler Redesign Program. Strengthen the city's relationship with local banks, realtars, school district and non - profit service provides to effectively inform the community about the benefits of housing rehabilitation and reinvestment programs and partnerships.
