Develop a Housing Newsletter to market HRA housing programs and <br />provide target mailings to neighborhoods that may be experiencing <br />signs of blight. Identified as a high priority for the HRA. <br />4.2 Support housing programs that fund hausirig renovations and <br />improvements for single family homes with grants and low or deferred <br />interest rate loans. Those programs include but are not limited to: <br />HRA Oivner Occupied Loan Pro ram -low or deferred interest lawn up <br />to $10,000 or not more than 50 percent of home improvement- The <br />Program is intended for use where gaffs exist within other loan <br />programs and can be used for demolition if certain criteria are met. <br />The loans are serviced by the Housing Resource Center, contracted by <br />the HRA, to provide more flexibility and ease to the resident. <br />Identified as a high priority of the HRA <br />HRA Rambler RLdesi n Pra ram - provide a grant for 50% of the <br />design fees up to $b,000 for homeowners renovating their 1950's <br />1970's style homes to provide a more adaptable style for today's <br />families. The grant encourages the use of good design techniques. <br />• <br />351& Corridor Rebate Proam - rebate 10, 12 or 15% of home <br />improvement costs up to $3,000 per household. Rebates are <br />administered by the HousingResource Center and funded by the <br />Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. The program has leveraged <br />public to private funds at an average rat io of x:10. Homeowners are <br />required to obtain a building permit and pre and post inspection by the <br />HRC sfiaff. <br />Ramse ounty Deferred Rehab Pro ram -provide income qualifying <br />deferred loans up to $15,000 for necessary home improvements. <br />r „ _.
