Resident south of Hwy 36, between Snelling and Dale St. This area has a large
number of mature trees that generate a lot of leaves. How can council members
question whether the collection of leaves and the compost site are worthwhile:
Generally, Roseville residents are good recycls. For a number of reasons not all
households recycle yet they pay the $5.50 quarterly fee as a part of their utility
hill. I propose that all households be charged a quarterly leaf compost fee. Just as
with the recycling program, residents may choose net to participate. Leaves blow
here and there, we need the leaf pick up program to keep Roseville clean and
waste free. Council and staff should find a moray to have the program fund itself.
Virginia Finder, 3069 Woodbridge St, 484 -2064. 50 year resident so many
beautiful trees, leaves have to go some place* She has availed herself of many
opportunities in Roseville. Disappointed where article was placed in paper.
Happy to pay for service, even if it is increased. Appreciated having a specific
nuriber to call with concerns.
Gordon Dahlen, 319 Burke Av W. Thinks closing site would be a terrible idea.
Picks up compost, willing to pay.
Delores lord, 2734 Dellwood, 633 -3407. Leaf pickup and compost site are
important services to residents. Not sure ghat she would do with all the leaves if
we closed the site. It would cost a fortune to have the trash haulers take it away.
Much easier - saves a lot of time to be able to rake to curb and not have to bag.
Appreciates the opportunity to be able to call with comments.
Al lodgorski, 958 W Sherren, 489 -0260. His sons cone over and vacuum yard
and then dump at the compost site. what would they do with the leaves if the site
closed?
is Ted r attei - 3063 Mount Ridge load, (2o year resident) Called to support the
leaf pick up and compost site. would miss it since he uses it all the time.
Jay Gubrud - 1397 Clarmar Ave., (9 year resident) in favor of both leaf pick up
and compost site. He uses on a regular basis. He is not apposed to a fee for use.
Norma Bailiff, 3029 Fairview, very much in favor of leaf pickup. Uses it every
year. Does not have car so doesn't use Compost site.
Shirley Gunderson, 2197 Dellwood, is in favor of leaf pick up and would pay a
fee to keep this service. She is elderly and does not use the compost site.
Walter Becker} 2451 Churchill, 651-483-5955 want to keep the site open.
Retired senior citizens and use it because it is close and they have tons of leaves.
Larry wells, 2967 Marion, 484-9443 I ecornnends dropping leaf pick -up,
keepi g compost... Compost site is an asset to the community. The City will be
messy if we don't keep a place for the leaves.
