Identified as a high priority for the HRA. 4.2 Support housing programs that fund housing renovations and improvements for single family homes with grants and taw or deferred interest rate loans. Those programs include but are not limited to: • HRA Owner Occupied Loan Program -law or deferred interest loan up to $10,000 or not more than 50 percent of home improvement. The Program is intended for use where gaps exist within other loan programs and can be used for demolition if certain criteria are met. The loans are serviced by the Housing Resource Center, contracted by the HRA, to provide more flexibility and ease to the resident. Identified as a high priority of the HRA • HRA Rambler Red esrgn ProAram - provide a grant for 50% of the design fees up to $6,000 for homeowners renovating their 1959s 1979s style homes to provide a more adaptable style for today's families. The grant encourages the use of good design techniques. • 35W Corridor Rebate Program - rebate 10, 12 or 15% of home improvement costs up to $3,000 per household. Rebates are administered by the HousingResource Center and funded by the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. The program has leveraged public to private funds at an average ratio of 1:14. Homeowners are required to obtain a building permit and pre and past inspection by the HRC staff. Of Ramsey County Deferred Rehab Program - provide income qualifying deferred loans up to $15,000 for necessary home improvements. Ramsey County Energy Conservation Program - provide income qualifying deterred loan up to $5,000 for home energy improvements. • Stale E Loan - provide loans tip to $8,000 at 8% interest for energy improvements.
