Regular City Council Minutes -- 3/31/03 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 6 <br />Attorney Anderson. <br />City Attorney Anderson responded that there was nothing <br />in the Council's Rules or Regulations that would specify <br />one way or another, but it was a matter of the City <br />Council's comfort level as to whether they gave direction <br />to staff by motion or specific directive. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn clarified several items brought up by <br />Councilmember Kough regarding hourly wages for <br />officers, overtime hours, and the lack of a policy adapted <br />by Ramsey County at this time for private use of their <br />firing range. <br />Councilmember Schroeder expressed appreciation to Chief <br />Sletner for her opinions and comments regarding <br />advantages and disadvantages of an on -site firing range. <br />Schroeder moved, Maschka seconded, a friendly <br />amendment to the motion to include direction to staff to <br />negotiate a Joint Powers Agreement with <br />Ramsey/Washington County and the City of New <br />Brighton for the City of Roseville's use of their firing <br />Councilmember Kough clarified that he had instructed <br />staff to include this item on the next agenda in a comment <br />at the March 17, 2003 regular Council meeting which he <br />
