Regular City Council Minutes — 3/31/03
DRAFT Minutes - Page 22
$178,326 to the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program
by the Roseville Fire Department; and further directed
staff to bring the proposed Strategic Phan forward for
Council discussion and consideration.
Councilmember Maschka asked if all Firefighters were
required to pursue the training whether or not they were
interested in doing so.
Chief Gasaway stated that, under current operations,
training was only provided to those who expressed an
interest, as it was not in the best interest of medical
victims to demand training for those who weren't
interested in providing medical assistance.
City Manager Beets suggested that the Strategic Plan be
brought forward in the near future for discussion under
Presentations on the 6:00 p.m, regular meeting agenda.
Councilmember Maschka expressed his interest in
pursuing the Strategic Plan discussion in a dedicated
Council Worksession format to allow more open
discussion, given its complexity.
After further discussion, Mayor Kysylyczyn, with
Councilmember Schroeder's concurrence, directed staff
to schedule a Worksession dedicated to the discussion of
the proposed Strategic Plan; with the inclusion of any
Consent Agenda items that may be outstanding at the
time of the scheduled meeting.
Roll Cal!
Ayes: Schroeder, Klausing, Kough, Maschka and
Kysylyczyn.
Nays: None.
Concordia
Meadows
