Regular City Council Minutes — 3/31/03 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 24 <br />Locations at the 4!' Mexico Restaurant, 1754 Food/Liquor <br />Lexington Avenue; and at the Outback Steak House, Locations at 1754 <br />2181 Snelling Avenue Lexington Avenue <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Maschka seconded, approval of and 2181 Snelling <br />outdoor patio food/liquor locations for 01' Mexico, 1754 Avenue <br />Lexington Avenue; and Outback Steak House, 2181 <br />Snelling with conditions as outlined in Section 2.2, a —g, <br />of the staff report dated March 31, 2003. <br />NOTE: <br />While this item had been approved by vote on the <br />Consent Agenda, there had been several residents in <br />attendance for this item who had not been recognized. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn recognized one of those residents who <br />came forward following discussion of Consent Agenda, <br />Item XI., F., Authorizing Fire Department Grant <br />Application. <br />Mr. Chris Meyer, 1075 Roma Avenue (located across <br />the street from the proposed patio addition at 01' Mexico) <br />Mr. Meyer presented a bench handout by proxy from <br />another resident who had already left the meeting. <br />Mr. Meyer expressed his appreciation for the 01' Mexico <br />establishment in the community, but expressed his <br />concern regarding more clarification of alcohol and food <br />availability on the patio addition. Mr. Meyer asked <br />whether patrons could continue to meet on the patio after <br />the 10:00 p.m. condition, even though they were no <br />longer being served beverages. Mr. Meyer asked for <br />Council assurances that noise pollution would not be an <br />issue following 10:00 p.m. <br />STAFF: Bench Handout not available; please see Neal <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn reviewed several issues addressed in <br />the bench h with Council consensus that the <br />conditions outlined as part of the approval of the request <br />would address those items of concern listed in the bench <br />
