Recycling Issue[Waste Management
Mayor Kysylyczyn alerted Councilmembers to
correspondence he had received from the firm Waste
Management regarding the actual number of multi- family
units served under the recently-approved Recycling
Contract. It was originally estimated at 6700 mufti- family
units, and in actuality, only 2004 multi-family units are
services, as some are contracting with other companies
and others do not allow entrance to their private property.
Mayor Kysylyczyn, with Council concurrence, directed
City Manager Beets and City Attorney Anderson to
address potential revenue shortfalls under the contract,
intended direction of the City Council, and potential
contract issues, and report back to the City Council.
