Rather than simply rewarding the biggest garden, <br />the award recognizes the use of plantings that make use of <br />indigenous plants that can survive Minnesota winters and summers <br />with minimal care. <br />4) Consider the rewards to be offered to participants in the program. <br />For example} I would anticipate that the person or persons <br />recognized would be honored at a council meeting. Is it possible <br />that they receive some financial reward as well (possibly provided <br />by a local greenhouse or builder)? <br />Requested Action <br />By notion the Roseville City Council refer the proposed Roseville Stellar <br />Hone & Gardens Program to the Parrs and Recreation Commission and the <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority for further study as set out in this <br />memorandum. <br />ICI <br />
