Programming staff see the Performances in the Park as an opportunity �� to demonstrate how the airs <br />can be accessed by youth. Young artists have the occasion to interact with <br />experienced artists and are <br />exposed to positive images for which they can model. <br />Providing sign language interpreters is important in an effort to reach area residents with limited or <br />restricted hearing capacities. All too often individuals with special need • <br />. must leave our community to <br />experience the arts. <br />All Performances * e Park are free. The <br />performance serves in 2003 has a new look, new artists will be introduced to the community. 2003 <br />organizers have maintained the best of past series and have addressed a call from <br />the community to <br />include culturally rich, ethnic based artists and expand family- friendl � inter enera i <br />onaY performances. <br />The Performances in the Park series hopes to achieve an opportunity to enrich <br />. . Our challenge is to accomplish this without compromising <br />level o � p g the <br />audience enjoyment, <br />Mission /History <br />Roseville parks and Recreation has been in existence since the earl 1 960 ' s and has <br />}� been a partner and <br />supporter of the arts since its inception. During the past 5 years, Roseville parks and <br />Recreation has taken an active role in the organization, development, facilitation and support pport of a wide <br />range of arts organizations and arts experiences.
