7.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: <br />7.1 On May 7, 2003, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding <br />the State Fair bequest. At the hearing, the Commission expressed concern over the park <br />& ride location a Roseville Lutheran Church, as did a fever adjacent propel owners. As <br />well, the City Planner presented the Commission six a -mails opposing the Roseville <br />Lutheran Church location. <br />7.2 The Commission expressed support for the Centennial United Methodist Church park & <br />ride lot, but did have organization and drive lane width questions of staff and the State <br />Fair, which were answered by Steve Grans} Transportation Coordinator, Minnesota State <br />Fair and the Roseville City Planner. <br />7.3 The Commission voted (4 -o) to recommend approval of the use of Centennial United <br />Methodist Church for a park & ride Interim Use Permit, based on the findings of Section <br />5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated May 7, 2003, and voted (4 -o) to <br />continue the request for the use of Roseville Lutheran Church as a parr & ride site. <br />8.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />8.1 By motion approve an Interim Use Permit amendment to include Centennial United <br />Methodist Church, 1524 County load C-2 as n park & ride site for the Minnesota <br />State Fair, based on the findings of Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the <br />project report dated June 2, 20030 <br />8.2 NOTE: On May 8, 2003, the Minnesota State Fair withdrew consideration of the IUP <br />request for Roseville Lutheran Church from its application. <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke, City Planner 651-490-2236 <br />Attachments: Aerial photo, site plans, letters of support. <br />PF3473 ,,; RCA 06!02/03 - Page 5 of 5 <br />
