7.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: 7.1 On May 7, 2003 the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the Gisvold variance request. At the hearing no citizens addressed the Commission, but the Commission did have questions of the City Planner and property owner. Specifically, the Commission was interested in clarification of the Staff proposed option and ghat options lair. Gisvold had considered. 7.2 The Planning Commission determined that the Staff reconYrnended option was not a reasonable option given the added impact to the parcel and neighborhood, and that the requested garage variance was reasonable and practical. However, the Commission was opposed to allowing parking in the boulevard and did not offer a recommendation on the requested variance, instead opting to add a condition restricting parking on the driveway within the boulevard. 7.3 The Planing Commission voted (5 -o) to recommend approval of a VARIANCE to Section 2II5 of the Roseville City Code for Roland Gisvold, 970 Transit Avenue, allowing the construction of 22 foot deep by 20 foot pride attached two stall garage based on the findings in Section 5 and amended conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated May 7, 2003. 8.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: 8.1 Adopt a RESOLUTION approving a 15.5 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code for Roland Gisvold, 970 Transit Avenue, allowing the construction of an attached two stall garage based on the findings in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated .tune 2, 2003. 8.2 NOTE: The Community Development Department supports the planning omnussion's recommendation. However, the condition prohibiting parking on the driveway within the public boulevard will be difficult to enforce.
