EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVIT "T •F Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Counter of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 'd day of June, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. 1. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council Member introduced the following .resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION o. A SOLUTION APPROVING r A 15.5 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.02D5 of THE ROSEVI CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 970 TRANSIT AVENUE (PF 3464) WHEREAS, Roland Gisvold bas requested a variance to Section 1004.02D5 (Dwelling Dimensions — Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. #t.) attached garage onto his existing hone; and as: WHEREAS, the Gisvold parcel is located at 970 Transit Avenue and legally described at Lot 12, Block 14, C. W. Michael Fourth Addition PID 11-29-23-24-0029 WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code requires a minimum front yard principal structure setback of 30 feet; and WHEREAS, Mr. Gisvold request would encroach 14.5 feet into the required front yard adjacent to Transit Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the isvo ld variance request (Section 1004, o D 5) on May 7, 2003, and recommended (5 -o) approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated May 7, 2003. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Roland isvold a 15.5 Foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code allowing the construction a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage onto the existing hone at 970 Transit Avenue,, subject to the following conditions; The proposed front yard addition (north) he limited to are encroachment of a distance not to exceed 15.5 feet or to a ipoint no closer than 14.5 feet from the front -yard property line. The garage can be designed with a west facing door and a new "L" shaped drive is possible, without parking in the boulevard.
