EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVIT "T •F <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Counter of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 'd day of June, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. <br />1. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member <br />introduced the following .resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION o. <br />A SOLUTION APPROVING r A 15.5 FOOT VARIANCE <br />TO SECTION 1004.02D5 of THE ROSEVI CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 970 TRANSIT AVENUE (PF 3464) <br />WHEREAS, Roland Gisvold bas requested a variance to Section 1004.02D5 (Dwelling <br />Dimensions — Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 20 <br />foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. #t.) attached garage onto his existing hone; and <br />as: <br />WHEREAS, the Gisvold parcel is located at 970 Transit Avenue and legally described at <br />Lot 12, Block 14, C. W. Michael Fourth Addition <br />PID 11-29-23-24-0029 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code requires a minimum front <br />yard principal structure setback of 30 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Gisvold request would encroach 14.5 feet into the required front yard <br />adjacent to Transit Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />isvo ld variance request (Section 1004, o D 5) on May 7, 2003, and recommended (5 -o) <br />approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of <br />the project report dated May 7, 2003. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Roland <br />isvold a 15.5 Foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code allowing the <br />construction a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage onto the existing hone <br />at 970 Transit Avenue,, subject to the following conditions; <br />The proposed front yard addition (north) he limited to are encroachment of a <br />distance not to exceed 15.5 feet or to a ipoint no closer than 14.5 feet from the <br />front -yard property line. The garage can be designed with a west facing door <br />and a new "L" shaped drive is possible, without parking in the boulevard. <br />
