No. 02040.00 <br />Dear Duane: <br />AKA is submitting the following proposal for work associated with Design and Documentation for <br />renovation of the existing Roseville city Hall. AKA has completed programming and preliminary <br />design as directed under a separate contract for additional services. Based upon approval of the <br />preliminary plan by the City Coun.cil, AKA will continue with the remaining work to complete the <br />renovation project as noted below, <br />SCOPE of SERVICES <br />AKA will continue with Basic Services as defined in our Owner-Architect Agreement with the City of <br />Roseville. working with city staff, we will complete phases for Design Development, Construction <br />Documents, Bidding and construction Administration for all city Hall spaces not already included in <br />the initial Public Safety scope of work. Areas to be renovated include offices for City Administration, <br />Finance, community Development, Parks & Recreation, Public Works Engineering, Technology and <br />Fire Administration, the council chambers, conference and meeting /break rooms and associated <br />support spaces as shown on the concept plans. Work will include replacement of existing strip <br />windows, replacement of the existing roofing and required mechanical and electrical upgrades. <br />SCHEDULE <br />In order to create the greatest efficiency in documentation and bidding, it is intended that the city <br />Hall renovation work will be completed concurrently with the Public Safety and Public Works project <br />and all Work will be bid together under Bid Package #3. The construction, will be phased to allow <br />uninterrupted operation by city departments. Bid Package #3 is tentatively scheduled to issue for <br />bidding on or about July 7, 2003. completion of work for the city Hall renovation gill, therefore, <br />require an intensive effort and efficient decision - making in order to maintain this schedule. <br />Ankeny Kell Architects, P.A. <br />821 Raymond Avenue.
