OTHER ■ <br />AMENITIES, <br />5.36 An extensive trail and sidewalk system is proposed for the site. Sidewalks would he <br />constructed along and adjacent to Arona Street and Terrace Drive, as well as in the interior <br />spaces of each of the specific developments to provide connections. This design/improvement <br />is consistent with the Arona- Harnline Neighborhood blaster plan and the need for <br />neighborhood pedestrian access improvements. Ire addition, consistent with the adopted Master <br />Plan the developer- will work with the adjacent property owners to the cast and west to provide <br />trail connections to the park and pond pathway. <br />5.37 The city is also planning to construct a public park type trail around as much of the pond a <br />possible. The design could possibly include a boardwalk on the east side of the pond adjacent <br />the Terrace Farb Apartments. <br />538 There is also are extensive landscape plan for each of the project areas and the park, which <br />includes a variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials, <br />6.4 POLICY (Comprehensive PIan Consistency) &FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: <br />6.1 The City Council approved the Aro n a -H a mline Neighborhood lurch Zoo <br />as a comprehensive Plan amendment which included the following vision statement and <br />planning principles as a guide in the development of the area. <br />The A r ona- Hamline Neighborhood Master Plan (the Plan) seeks to create a unique <br />livable community that blends housing, earnrnereial andpublic open space with quality <br />design, improved circulation andpubiic gathering spaces.
