August 27, 1991 Phone (612) 484 -8429 Mr. Bob Bierscheid Roseville Parks and Recreation 2800 Arona St. Roseville, MN 55113 Dear Bob, As you know, Concordia Academy has embarked on a campaign to expand and improve its current facilities with the addition of an auditorium, new office wing, music addition, renovated locker facilities, and other building up- grades. We also are aware of the Roseville ordinance which requires land or monies to be set aside for park dedication whenever land is re- platted. In an effort to satisfy this ordinance, Concordia Academy would like to propose the following concept.: Concordia would deed over to the city of Roseville the amount of land that is presently designated for the baseball and softball fields. The exact configuration must be determined to be mutually satisfactory. It would be further understood that representatives of Concordia and representatives of the City of Roseville would develop mutually satisfactory arrangements regarding the use of these fields between the school and the city. In exchange for this land, Roseville would undertake the following: the construction of one baseball field and one softball field; the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of these fields; the resurfacing, curbing, guttering, and lighting of ConcordWs parking lot; the construction and maintenance of the pathway that would border the north and west sides of the ball fields. It is our intent that the following proposal would be done only if these or any conditions would be mutually agreed upon. Once again, Concordia proposes this concept as a means of satisfying the ordinance requiring land for park dedication. We are most interested in your response to this concept, and we would make ourselves available for further discussions should you so desire.
