X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY FOR LONG RANGE PLANNING <br />Prince William County, Virginia <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey for Prince William County <br />during January and February of 2008 to help establish priorities for the future improvement of <br />parks, greenways, trails, green and recreation facilities, programs and services within the <br />community. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results from households <br />throughout Prince William County. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and <br />phone. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Prince William County Park Authority officials in the <br />development of the survey questionnaire. This work included a series of stakeholder interviews <br />with the Board and staff allowing the survey to be tailored to issues of strategic importance to <br />effectively plan the future <br />system. <br />Leisure Vision completed a <br />total of I ,1 0 surveys, <br />including at least 136 <br />surveys from each of the <br />seven election districts. The citizen survey process provided very <br />valuable insight into what facilities and progrars our citizens wanted tofocus on.
