X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />PARKS AND RECREATION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY (2005) <br />Teton County/Jackson, Wyoming <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Survey from May to July of 2005 in Teton <br />County/Jackson, Wyoming to help establish priorities for the future development of parks, trails <br />and recreation facilities,, programs and services within the community. The survey was designed <br />to obtain statistically valid results from households throughout Teton County and the Town of <br />Jackson. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and phone. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department <br />officials in the development of the survey questionnaire. This work allowed the survey to be <br />tailored to issues of strategic importance to effectively plan the future system. <br />The goal was to obtain a total of <br />400 completed surveys. This <br />goal was accomplished,, with <br />418 surveys having been <br />completed. The results of the <br />random sample of 418 <br />households have a 95% level of <br />confidence with a precision of <br />at least +/-4.7%. <br />Extensive cross tabular analysis <br />of survey responses was <br />conducted for a wide range of <br />demographic factors, including <br />ac of respondents szender, <br />11 11 <br />household size,, income,, ethnicity, etc. as well as comparisons of the responses from Teton <br />County/Jackson to Leisure Vision's national benchmarking data base. <br />Results from the survey were used by Teton CountylJackson to pass 2 highly successful voter <br />election projects in 2006. <br />STEVE FOSTER,, Director <br />Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department <br />P.O.
