X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AS COMPONENT FOR MASTER PLAN (2006) <br />City of Georgetown-Scott County, Kentucky <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey for the City of <br />Georgetown -Scott County, Kentucky from October through December of 2006 to establish <br />priorities for the future development of parks and recreation facilities, programs and services <br />within the County. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results from households <br />throughout Scott County. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and phone. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Georgetown-Scott County officials, as well as members <br />of the project team in the development of the survey questionnaire. This work allowed the <br />survey to be tailored to issues of strategic importance to effectively plan the future system. <br />The goal was to obtain a total of at least 400 completed surveys. This goal was accomplished, <br />with a total of 407 surveys having been completed. The results of the random sample of 407 <br />households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least +/-4.9%. <br />PARKS AND RECREATION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY (2005-2 006) <br />Schaumburg, Illinois <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey in 2005 and 2006 to help <br />establish priorities for the future development of parks and recreation facilities, programs and <br />services within the community. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results <br />from households throughout the Schaumburg Park District. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Schaumburg Park District officials and residents of the <br />Schaumburg Park District in the development of the survey questionnaire. These efforts <br />included a series of stakeholder interviews and focus groups with Schaumburg Park District <br />residents and Wheeling Park District officials. This work allowed the survey to be tailored to <br />issues of strategic importance to effectively plan the future system. <br />The goal was to obtain at least 500 completed surveys in the Park District. This goal was <br />accomplished, with 523 surveys having been completed.
