The
alignment of
the County Road B-2 extension, across 35W, Is
such that west
Mound traffic
will be looking directly at the Murphy, site since the alignment
ciurves within
the site realigning
itself with Terminal Road some distance west
of Long Lake
Road. Thus, the
east end of the fur hy site is a, "focal point"
for, the vista,
relating to this -
traffic. 1 Such a significant
site should be
multi - storied
and be developed,
into uses significantly more
intense than an
office service
buildingo
SUMM
The recommended action here includes the preparati on of appropriate
illustrative graphicis and the conduct of , visits to the major land owners (Paper
Calmension being first priority) to ensure and encourage a redevelopment of
I
tihe properties for appropriate uses with Clity cooperation.
