Ix"EQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 2/14/11 <br />Item No.: 7. k <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for <br />Bids for Dale Street <br />11 BACKGROUND <br />2 On Monday, January 101, 20111. a public improvement hearing was held for City Project No. P- 11-02: Dale <br />3 Street Reconstruction project. Following the hearing, the City Council ordered the improvement and <br />4, preparation of plans and specifications of the proposed project. The next step in the process is for the City <br />5 Council to approve plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids. Consistent with <br />6 Roseville's Assessment Policy, 25% of the street reconstruction costs would be assessed to adjacent property <br />"7 owners based on lot width. The Council adopted an estimated assessment rate of $48.661 ft for this <br />improvement. <br />9 POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />110 State statute requires a Council resolution approving plans and specifications and ordering the advertisement <br />11 for bids for all public improvements to be assessed.
