I benefit from the Roseville com�m�unity in many ways and I would like to qive back in some way. I embrace the same issues and goals that the Human Rights Commission works on, so the Human Rights Commission seers like the best place for me to apply m�y efforts. what is your view of the role of this Commission/ Board?: I understand the the com�m�ission helps people come together to discuss and become educated on human rights issues such as welcoming new i m�m�i q rants/ ref ugees , gay rights, and civic engagem�ent. I see it as an educational body which, at tim�es, addresses specific problem areas. Any further inform�ation you would like the city council to consider or that you feel is relevant to the appointm�e�nt or re�appointm�e�nt you are se�e�king.: The area of concern that is m�ost pressing for me at this time is helping to create openness to the Karen refugees who face many barriers. I would like to be part of citywide efforts to support them in their endeavors to become independent and active citiz,ens.
