Exhibit, B <br />The required seeding method is broadcast seeding. Grasses shall be raked or harrowed <br />into the soil before forbs and sedges are broadcast onto the soil surface. If the seed mix <br />comes, premixed (*i.e. grass seed and fort seed in a single mix) from the supplier, all <br />wetland areas, shall be broadcast seeded and lightly raked. <br />Following the installation of seed, the site shall be lightly packed, using a culti-packer or <br />similar equipment, to ensure proper seed contact with the soil and a fern. seedbed. <br />All native seed in the wetland zones will be installed by broadcast with equipment <br />0 0 0 6 <br />designed for broadcasting native seed ma"es, containmg seed of varying sizes and weig1ts <br />(i.e.; a cyclone type broadcaster). , <br />Wetland seed may be lightly raked but should not be buried to, any degree. If the seed <br />installer revs out of seed due to too heavy of an application the installer shalft purchase <br />and install additional seed of the same mix and seed vendor to complete the installation. <br />Wetland Seeding shall include the following pay items and State seed mixes: <br />25175 — SEED NUXTURE SPECIAL 1: 34-181 <br />2575 — SEED NURTURE SPECIAL 2: 34-261 <br />Upland zones, shall be seeded before July I st in the northern half of the state and June <br />15th in the southern part of the state. If this timeframe cannot be met,, the seeding shall be <br />delayed until a seeding can be done after October I 5th in the northern half of the state and <br />November I st in the southern half of the state. <br />A Truax type seeder must be used. The seed drill must accurately meter the types of seed <br />to be planted and keep all seed uniformly mixed during the drilling. The drill should <br />contain a m"J" uum of two seed boxes, a fine seed box and a box for large/fluffy seeds, <br />and it should be equipped with disc furrow openers, and packer assembly to compact the <br />soil directly over the drill rows. Maximum row spacing should be 8 inches., The <br />interseeder drill must be out-fitted with trash n*ppers that will slice through the vegetafive <br />mat and make a furrow into the underlying soil approximately I inch wide by 0.2-1 Inch <br />deep. The Bows should be directly in line with the drill seed disc openers. Fine seed <br />should be drop-seeded onto the ground from the fine seed box and large/fluffy seed <br />should be placed to obtain a final planting depth of V4 to 2 1"W h 11, <br />Upland Seeding, shall include the following pay item and State seed mix: <br />2575 — SEED AUXTURE SPECIAL 3: 35-641 <br />SEED MIXTURE 35 -641 shall include application of a cover crop as indicated on the <br />plans. <br />Wetland Containen"zed Plaits and Rootstock: <br />Hand plant the prescribed quantities of' plugs within the area specified in the p lan. <br />Plug installation shall occur during the growing season after all seeding, has been <br />completed. <br />ROSEWOO,D WETLAND AND MIDLANID HILLS ROAD SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />LorlLowurip"ic' im r KUV It M t N I * <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE PROJECT NO.
