Attachment D <br />AlftL <br />o b • dl C�oi#Okn i"On Li ��n '1"'ty lRe sea irp'c 0 1�1 <br />suppor b��ig cilebisilor"s i ii is pi r i r�i g i d e a s <br />a <br />Research Brief <br />2011 City of Rosievil�l�e Citizen En�gagemen�t an�d Priority Assessimenj <br />Williarn Saint►rnour <br />Executive Director, Cobalt Comlmlunity Research <br />March 4, 2011 <br />The purpose of this brief is to provide an executive surnmary of City of Roseville citizen research., In January and February 2011, the <br />City of Roseville asked a random samlplle of registered voters to respond to a survey to support the following goalls: <br />■ Support budget and strategic planning decisions <br />■ Explore service assumlptions to ensure baselline service llevells are well understood and to provide a reference against which <br />the City can measure improvernents over timle <br />■ Identify which services provide the greatest lleverage on citizens' overall satisfaction — and how satisfaction, in turn, <br />inflluences the comlmlunity's imlage and citizen behaviors such as vollunteering, rernaining in the comlmlunity, recommending <br />it to others and rernaining in the comlmlunity., <br />■ Benchmlark performance against a standardized performance index regionalllly and nationalllly. , <br />More than 570 citizens responded, providing a statisticalllly sound measurement of citizen engagernent and priorities. , <br />Overallll, citizens scored overall Roseville satisfaction at 72 on a scale from zero to 100, with 100 the highest score (Roseville scores <br />are dark blue). This is above the score for simlillarlly sized Midwestern cities, which have an overall score of 54. The analysis allso <br />identified which aspects of llife in Roseville have the greatest impact for additional ) improvernent.
