Attachment A <br />ZOM3901M <br />WHEREAS, Roseville's trees have been a significant element of our Community because of <br />their beauty and importance to our environment" and <br />WHEREAS, Trees are an increasingly vital resource for Roseville, enriching our lives by <br />purifying air and water, helping to conserve soil and energy, ins serving as <br />recreational settings and wildlife habitat of all kinds; and <br />WHEREAS, Activities such as construction damage and pollutions as well as drought and <br />disease have damaged and destroyed many trees and are therefore ins need of <br />replacem�en�t, and <br />WHEREAS, T'h�e City of Roseville needs to positively impact our world en�viron�m�en�t by helping to <br />attack the problem of global warm�in�g by locally plan�tin�g trees and insuring that <br />these trees are nurtured and protected; and <br />WHEREAS, Trees ins our city increase property values, en�h�an�ce the econ�om�ic vitality of <br />business areas, and beautify our com�m�un�ity, and <br />WHEREAS, Trees, wherever they are plan�ted, are a source of joy and spiritual <br />renewal., <br />WHEREAS, Our citizen�s need to be encouraged to care for our trees and plant as many other <br />trees as possible; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Roseville does h�ereby <br />proclaim April 29th 1 2011 as Arbor Day ins the City of Roseville., <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have h�ereun�to set my hand and caused the seal of the City of <br />Roseville to be affixed this 29th day of April, 2011. <br />Naniel J., Roe, Mayom <br />(SEAL) <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
