<br />Planning Commission Regular Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, April 06, 2011 <br />1. Call to Order <br />1 <br />Chair Daniel Boerigter called to order the Planning Commission meeting at approximately 5:35 <br />2 <br />p.m. and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />3 <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />4 <br />At the request of Chair Boerigter, City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />5 <br />Members Present: Chair Daniel Boerigter; and Commissioners John Gisselquist; Jeff Lester; <br />6 <br />Michael Boguszewski; Glenn Cook; Joe Wozniak; with Commissioner <br />7 <br />Peter Strohmeier arriving at approximately 5:38 p.m. <br />8 <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke and Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd <br />9 <br />3. Organizational Business <br /> <br />10 <br />a. Swearing in of New Commission Members <br /> <br />11 <br />Chair Boerigter administered the Oath of Office to newly-appointed Planning <br />12 <br />Commissioners: Jeff Lester and Michael Boguszewski; and upon his arrival, to <br />13 <br />Commissioner Peter Strohmeier. <br />14 <br />b. Appointment of Variance Board <br />15 <br />City Planner Paschke noted the need for four (4) Commissioners to volunteer to serve as <br />16 <br />the Variance Board, and subsequent appointment by the City Council of those <br />17 <br />volunteers. At the request of Chair Boerigter, Mr. Paschke reviewed the purpose of the <br />18 <br />Variance Board. Mr. Paschke advised that, at the initial meeting of the Variance Board, <br />19 <br />three Commissioners would be selected to serve, and one alternate. <br />20 <br />Commissioners Gisselquist, Boguszewski, Strohmeier, and Lester volunteered to serve <br />21 <br />on the Variance Board. <br />22 <br />Chair Boerigter thanked Commissioners for their willingness to serve in this additional <br />23 <br />capacity as needed. <br />24 <br />c. Election of Officers <br />25 <br />MOTION <br />26 <br />Member Wozniak moved, seconded by Member Gisselquist to appoint Member <br />27 <br />Boerigter as Chair of the Planning Commission <br />28 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />29 <br />Nays: 0 <br />30 <br />Motion carried. <br />31 <br />MOTION <br />32 <br />Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Wozniak to appoint Member <br />33 <br />Gisselquist as Vice Chair of the Planning Commission <br />34 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />35 <br />Nays: 0 <br />36 <br />Motion carried. <br />37 <br />4. Review of Minutes <br />38 <br />MOTION <br />39 <br />Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Cook to approve the meeting minutes of <br />40 <br />March 02, 2011 as presented. <br />41 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />42 <br />Nays: 0 <br />43 <br />Motion carried. <br />44 <br /> <br />
