Introductions <br /> 2. General Info <br /> o Lonnie Brokke spoke briefly on: <br /> • the official Council action adopting the Parks &Recreation Master Plan and the authorization <br /> of staff to work with the Parks &Recreation Commission to develop a structure and process <br /> for the implementation of the master plan. <br /> • the City of Roseville Public Meeting process and the need for this process to be open and <br /> involving a high level of community awareness. <br /> • structure that will involve the Parks &Recreation Commission serving as the guiding <br /> principle through the implementation process. <br /> 3. Organizing Team Role <br /> o Jason Etten outlined the roles and expectations for Organizing Team Members, including; <br /> • bring an operational expertise and leadership skills to the implementation process <br /> • help lead task oriented, smaller, community groups in a "work group"capacity <br /> • look at the master plan from a "higher level", serve as a think tank that sets priorities, <br /> provides direction and makes recommendations based on community input and work group <br /> involvement <br /> 4. Implementation Structure <br /> o The Master Plan Implementation Process will involve a similar structure to what was used in the earlier <br /> Master Plan Update. <br /> • Organizing Team —citizen team made up of current Parks and Recreation Commissioners <br /> and Master Plan CAT members <br /> • Advisory Team — still being organized. Will include community members that bring a strong <br /> skill set that will provide council and advice to the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br /> Organizing Team, Implementation Team Work Groups and Staff <br /> • Implementation Team —goal: to involve as many community members as possible, recruit <br /> community expertise, involve CAT members, task oriented, serve as a communications <br /> network <br />
