Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experience <br /> NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AS COMPONENT OF MASTER PLAN (2008) <br /> Bedford County, Virginia <br /> Leisure Vision conducted a Community Parks and Recreation Survey for Bedford County as part <br /> of a Master Plan during the spring of 2009 to establish priorities for the future development of <br /> parks and recreation facilities, programs and services within the community. The survey was <br /> designed to obtain statistically valid results from households throughout the Bedford County. <br /> The survey was administered by a combination of phone and mail. The goal was to obtain a total <br /> of at least 200 completed surveys from Bedford County residents. This goal was accomplished, <br /> with a total of 220 surveys having been completed. The results of the random sample of 220 <br /> households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least+/-6.6%. <br /> NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY FOR FEASIBILTY STUDY (2008) <br /> Kyle, Texas <br /> Leisure Vision conducted a citizen survey as part of a community center planning team for this <br /> Austin suburban community. The survey was administered by phone or by mail and phone. <br /> Extensive cross-tabular analysis of survey responses was conducted for a wide range of <br /> demographic factors, including age of respondents, gender, household size and types, income, <br /> education, etc. Results were also being compared to Leisure Vision's national database of <br /> survey responses. <br /> ZOO USERS CITIZEN ATTITUTDE AND INTEREST SURVEY (2008) <br /> The Friends of the Kansas City Zoo <br /> Leisure Vision conducted a Citizen Attitude and Interest Survey during the fall of 2008 to help <br /> determine future planning for the Zoo. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid <br /> results from households throughout six counties in the Kansas City Metro area. These six <br /> counties include Jackson, Platte and Clay Counties in Missouri, and Johnson, Wyandotte and <br /> Leavenworth counties in Kansas. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and <br /> phone.The goal was to obtain a total of at least 1,300 completed surveys. This goal was <br /> accomplished, with a total of 1,350 surveys having been completed. The results of the random <br /> sample of 1,350 households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least+/-2.7%. <br /> NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AS COMPONENT FOR MASTER PLAN (2008) <br /> Iowa City, Iowa <br /> Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey in 2008 for Iowa City, Iowa <br /> to establish priorities for the future improvement of parks and recreation facilities, programs and <br /> services within the community. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results <br /> from households throughout Iowa City. The survey was administered by a combination of mail <br /> and phone. The goal was to obtain a total of at least 600 completed surveys. This goal was <br /> accomplished, with a total of 676 surveys having been completed. The results of the random <br /> sample of 676 households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least+/-3.7%. <br /> Leisure Vision Needs Assessment Experience- 36 <br />
