<br />I grew up in Roseville for the last 25 years,. I currently live in Lauderdale(s,uburb of
<br />Ros,eville). I volunteer as a Roseville Youth Coach for various, s,ports, and spend most of my
<br />spare time in Ros,eville. I am currently in the proces,s, of hopefully becoming a Roseville
<br />homeowner. I would be lying if I said buying a house near a Pawn Shop warn 't a detractor to
<br />get back into the community I grew up in, because it is I"ma ine if your neighborhood had a
<br />Pawn Shop at the end of the road.
<br />By adding the Pawn Shop to our community it rais,es, s,erious, concerns, regarding the safety for
<br />all of our children., including the youth that I coach. It was, and has been reassuring knowing
<br />I was, surrounded by trustworthy and ethical neighbors, and bus,ines,s,es,. I think adding a Pawn
<br />Shop to the city would attract a different crowd; which could jeopardize that I feel is a
<br />very safe and comfortable city to live In The ability to feel good about our youth being
<br />active in the Roseville neighborhoods, is something that shouldn't be taken for granted. I
<br />walked/biked to Brimhall everyday of Elementary school and to think that option wouldn't be
<br />safe or comfortable is disturbing, When I think of Roseville I think of community. My
<br />background is in finance so I fully acknowledge communities, need bus,ines,s, to thrive. However,
<br />a Pawn Shop does,n't have the community ring, to It We have the ability to say no and make a
<br />stand, I suggest we do it and make sure our neighborhoods, stay safe and comfortable for
<br />future years, to come.
