The grant is for
4, $,9,000 in youth golf equipment and $,3,000 in cash to be used to promote and offer the youth golfprogram.
5
6 Roseville Cedarholm Golf Course was one of fifteen agencies in the United States chosen to pilot the SNAG
"7 program in 2011.
8 POLICY OBJECTIVE
9 The proposal is consistent with the policy of searching out other public and private resources to obtain funding
110 to offset the costs of providing programs, services and facilities for Roseville residents. It is also consistent
11 with our efforts to partner with other agencies.
12 FINANCIAL IMPACTS
13 Normally grants are offered only ifthere are matching funds available. In this case this particular grant does not
14, require matching funds so the final financial outcomes will be the acceptance of $,9,000 of golf equipment and
15 X3,000 in cash to promote and offer a youth golf program.
116 STAFF RECOMMENDATION
17 Based upon the goal of providing programs at an efficient cost to the community staffrecommends that the City
11 111""'1111 accept a grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association in the amount of $,9,000 in golf equipment
119 and $,3,000 in cash to be used to provide a youth golf program throughout the Roseville Parks and Recreation
20 program offerings.
2 °i REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION
22 Motion authorizing the acceptance of the SNAG grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association in
23 the amount of $,9,000 in youth golf equipment and $,3,000 in cash to promote and provide a youth Golf
24, program within the Parks and Recreation Department.
I 1 1111 11 111111 11
. 0 --= i 1 1 i
I 111MBN -
Page I of I
