MEMORANDUM To: Parks and Recreation Commission From: Lonnie Brokke Date: September 27, 2011 Re: Notes for Commission Meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 1. Introductions/Public Comment Invited Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is encouraged. 2. Approval of Minutes of the September 6, 2011 Meeting Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of September 6, 2011. Please be prepared to approve or amend. Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of September 6, 2011 3. Staff Introductions It has been suggested that Roseville Parks and Recreation Staff be introduced at a meeting in order for Commissioners to put a name to a face. Several will be in attendance at the October meeting to be introduced and talk of their backgrounds and roles in the Department. Included in your packet is an organizational chart that will be reviewed prior to introductions. Requested Commission Action: Staff introductions 4. Commissioner Community Engagement Task Force Report Greg Simbeck and Randall Doneen serve on the Human Rights Commission Community Engagement Task Force as a representative of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Simbeck and Doneen will be prepared to report on the latest progress on the community forum effort. Requested Commission Action: Commission Discussion and feedback 5. 2012 Commission Meeting Calendar Review and discuss meeting dates for 2012. Draft calendar is attached. Requested Commission Action: Discuss and set annual meeting calendar for 2012 6. Master Plan Implementation Discussion This is continued discussion about the Park Renewal Program "path to implementation' . Commission representatives and staff will plan to review progress to date. This is a time to gather continued guidance/direction from the entire commission. Requested Commission Action: Discuss progress on the implementation process and provide continued guidance
