'7 5 Under this proposal, most of staff time would shift to the Communications budget, reducing the <br />76 to levy supported costs by about $,5,000. Staff has revisited and revised this to more accurately <br />'7 "7 reflect what we believe will be the time spent. Staff hours would be reallocated to support <br />'7 8 communications and city clerk duties, including codifying city code; improvements to record <br />'7 9 management and making more city documents available electronically; overseeing records and <br />contracts; coordinating commission appointments and other duties. <br />The 400 plus hours amongst other staff would mean hours redirected to their department's core <br />2 <br />services. It would also mean a modest reduction in comp time and overtime. <br />83 Other cities have expressed interest in Ramsey County administering their elections. Earlier this <br />84 month,, Mounds View signed a contract with Ramsey County to administer elections. Arden Hills <br />85 has expressed interest in having the county administer elections. If that happens, Ramsey County <br />'i 6 expects to see greater economies of scale in future years. <br />87 Ramsey County would take responsibility for storing equipment.
