I <br />suppose Down syndrome is a label, but maybe because I know Peter and call him by his <br />name several times a day, he is more than a label to me. I hope the world can one day see <br />Peter the way I do. <br />I believe that people with disabilities like Peter, and all people who are labeled <br />"different," have the potential to do great things. Indeed it is hard at times, attending to <br />meetings, conferences and multiple other things, and takes hard work, persistence, and <br />time. Maybe that is one of the biggest reasons why discrimination still exists today: it <br />takes a lot of attention and hard work not to discriminate. <br />We can all 'ignore discrimination or pretend it doesn't happen,, but things will only <br />get worse. So now the question is what are we going to do about it .9 <br />N <br />
