Final Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) <br />SRFC Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS) <br />Connections Grant Partners of Suburban Ramsey County <br />All partners to this agreement desire a maximum degree of long range cooperation and <br />administrative planning in order to provide for the safety and security of the community <br />and its children; and <br />All partners are committed to improving services to children in the schools, community, <br />county and courts through sharing information, eliminating duplication of services and <br />coordinating efforts; and <br />All partners mutually agree that sharing resources, where feasible, and in particular, <br />training efforts, may result in improved coordination; and <br />All partners have certain roles in serving children and youth which are required by law, <br />and that these laws serve as the foundation for defining the role and responsibility of each <br />participating agency; and <br />All partners mutually agree that all obligations stated or implied in this agreement shall <br />be interpreted in light of, and consistent with governing State and Federal laws; <br />In consideration of the following, agreements, the parties do hereby ag,r to do the <br />following: <br />ALL PARTNERS AGREE TO: <br />I Promote a coordinated effort among agencies and staff to achieve maximum school <br />safety with the goal of creating safe and drug-free schools and promote healthy <br />childhood development. <br />2. Participate in interagency planning meetings, as appropriate. <br />3. Provide data requested by the Project Director to complete a thorough evaluation of <br />the SS /HS Initiative for the purpose of evaluating progress of SS /HS grants goals and <br />objectives and completing performance reporting requirements. <br />4. Assign staff, as appropriate, to participate in a consolidated/coordinated case <br />management system, reentry into school of children returning from suspension or <br />treatment, and other information - sharing activities to assess and develop plans for at- <br />risk youth and those involved in the juvenile justice system. <br />5. When applicable, participate in truancy intervention planning designed to improve a <br />student's attendance. <br />6. Jointly plan, and/or provide information and access to, training opportunities. <br />7. Develop internal policies and cooperative procedures, as needed, to implement this <br />agreement to the maximum extent possible. <br />8. Comply with relevant State and Federal law and other applicable local rules which <br />relate to records use, security, dissemination, and retention/destruction. <br />9. Support the sustainability- of services and activities beyond the life of the Safe <br />Schools/Healthy Students Initiative grant. Partners agree to: share and participate in <br />relevant trainings and workshops related to the SS /HS grant and activities/strategies, <br />coordinate services and activities with relevant partners on behalf of children, youth <br />
