There is a resolution on the Council
agenda for Decefnber 17, 2007 related to our client which we encourage you to adopt.-
The Resolution
In brief, the Resolution restates what has been the past position of the City, in reiterating
that (i) the property is underdeveloped and blig hted-, (10 the pr6perty is located within the Twin
Lakes redevelopment distn'ct and (Ili) if the property cannot be acquired through negotiation by a
qualified redeveloper, that the City will, to the extent of its authority, use its power of emi-nent
domain to do so.
The Dorso property has been considered to be a site capable of being redeveloped
without extraordinary infrastructure contemplated by the larger Twin Lakes redevelopment plan.
It is not plagued by the environmental problems of other tracts 'in the area. For these reasons and
-oliers, Rottlund', the General Services Administration (GSA), and now Opus Northwest, LLC
have expressed interest in the property.
